bit of a catch 22, get a magnet, and you'll want more than a single shot shotgun,

I went down the route of buying the magnet first, because it was going cheap on another forum, but once I had that, the single shot could'ent be loaded fast enough, so within weeks I sold that gun and bought a semi :D

you only waste cartridges if you take a last chance shot at a fleeing bird, you just need more restraint, it goes bang each time you pull the trigger so whether you waste shots or not is up to you!

the only thing you may find with a hatsan is that they're a bit rough and ready, great buys for the money I hasten to add before anyone has a go at me, so you may find they take a bit of running in as they won't be as smooth to start off with compared to a benelli or beretta, in that case, I'd go for the pigeon magnet and save save save for the Benelli, expensive, yes. but IMO worth every penny. I have shot one on a number of occasions and they handle like lightning....
