Are you buying another bird?

iwas thinking of getting a gos for hares but my fhh is catching hares now so thinking of getting another female next year to fly and hunt together just trying to find out if i could keep them together

Think seriously before you get a Gos mate,they are no Harris.good luck with flying a cast

A good few years back when Harris's was fetching good money a old breeder I knew litteraly would stick sometimes up to 6 Harris's in one 24ft x 12 aviary and leave them to sort out their own pairings. as expected there was always plenty of squables in the aviary as birds sorted out the pecking order but some of his best Pairings was introduced like this, its a more natural selective method of pairing!! Harris's are Gregarious by natures which makes life much easier....

 

I would be careful introducing them in the new aviary while both on Hunting weight, but if you have a cast you fly then things should go smooth....

cheers jasper appreciated ,i'm just doing a bit of planning for the future ,it wont be untill her third year till i get another if i get another im just looking forward to see what she looks like in adult plumage and how she handles hares in her second year but id love to have two in the air following me on the ground anyway no rush and thanks again seffa
