snaring

can any one give me advice on setting a snare only a few yeards from the set is it worth the bother.

 

there is a set on some permision i have and it is in the farmers garden he doesnt wont us ferreting it or the use of guns or dogs the rabbits run threw small run in the brick wall i always catch the odd one but was just wondering if any one snare the set its self

Yes its possible, you could snare the runs adjacent to the warren and the brick wall run through..

Kev have you given any thought about a Fenn MK6 trap inside the burrow

its difficult for anyone to give a perfect answer without having seen the situation for themselves but considering the rabbits are using a well established run i would have thought that a 116 bodygrip would also work well for you,atb

I would set fenns in the holes or possibly a bodygrip in the run through.

Has he given you a reason as to why he won't allow you to ferret it mate? Just seems strange that he won't let you use ferrets, but apparently is happy with snares being set in his garden
