New kid after advice!

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone, hope you all ok. Im hoping by joining this site, it will open up doors and pick up some hunting skills. I'll start with introducing myself. Im 21 years old and i'm reletavely new to hunting. I first got the taste for it when a friend offered me to shoot rabbits on his field, which is where I still shoot now. Now you know a bit about me I'll put a question to you all!:-)

Q. I have a .22 SMK precharged co2 rifle for which I shoot bunnies with, which I have had limited success with, but Im sure I should be getting a lot more kills. Can anybody offer some advice? I am fairly new to this so anything will be a help. Thank you.

Karl.

in what way limited success

does that mean you cant hit them

or

that your hitting them, but they are running off

either of the above, you should STOP shooting rabbits, until you can be 100% sure of a clean kill, head shots are the best and only area in my eyes, we should always respect our quarry, and try for the best humaine despatch

if its the first, then more target/grouping practise is needed, if the 2nd, then again, head shots only, or if your doing head shots and they are running, a better rifle
