new bsa lightning air rifle

Can you put up a picture of it up mate?

Going on you paying £40 which is a megga deal on a Lightning if its working fine and not broken, it will be a older model which Im no expert but i believe that that are the ones built in the UK  .

Also there should be a serial number somewhere on the rifle that you can write down and then phone BSA and give them the serial number over the phone and they will be able to give you some history on the rifle.

I.E place of manufactor and year etc  .

hi ,you can get close to 12 from it but expect it to eat scopes if a normal tune ie washer, spring (not an ox or whatever) and barrel seal you should get around 10-11 ft lbs not my fav bsa try wasp pellets both the 5.5 and 5.6 good price and they are goos for close range hunting and nowadays you get the free pointed ones in a tin.

if you are looking for a 2nd hand rifle look for a webley vulcan good starter and plenty of power for hunting and better built

I find a tuned Lightning to be just fine for hunting.

I had about 12 months of good shooting with my one.

I never shot over 35 metres but that is far enough and the rifle was caperble of shooting accurately at a greater distance.

I found Accupells good in mine, when they were called Crossman Accupells.

Nothing wrong with a Lightning if a bit of attention is paid to it by a proffessional.

Ok Thanks Zini I think the lightning is definitely on my likely list I have a perfect spot for static hunting on my nans ground where the rabbits come out warrens in the forestry commissions wood and graze on my nans land.Ill wait for them and thwack hopefully (:
