8 month old been chewing the shed for 2 month it gets out morning for a good long walk and at tea time for another from day one its never really settled it did cry alot but now its chewing instead

might sound silly but i keep my luchers indoors so i cant have any chewing watsoever so i give them a thick cardboard box from the back of a supermarket!! they chew it for days on the corners and when it starts getting tatty go get a new one!! the really hard thick stuff i find is the best!! hope this helps!!

Some times its bored and just looking something till do but it is still teething cut off a few tree branches and let it chew on them .I got my pups a food finder where yea put food in a ball and they have push it about get food out keeps them happy but what works best is the biggest bone off your local butcher they love it

bones but he likethe wood better,with him being outside i cant catch him doing it to learn him not to.

Do you have any other dogs or does he live alone? Perhaps he is bored or stressed and does this to entertain himself if he is lonely?

It may be boredom, but its more likely to be the pup going through its secondary teething stage. The dog will NEED to chew, its not being naughty, it's cutting its last teeth. It probably prefers the wood because it has become a habit now, google a product called "bitter bite" . . . its an anti chew spray, cover the wood in that and then provide him with some butchers bones, raw and with plenty of meat on to tempt him. As has been suggested if he's a food orientated dog, then there is a variety of toys on the market that can be stuffed with food and will entertain the dog. . . . IMO "Kongs" are the best for this job, and indestructable so worth the money.

I agree with Watchman, leaving a dog muzzled, unattended in a kennel, is in my opinion both unnecessary and dangerous.
