Guest busterdog
this is a dog i used to own he didnt dye to ground but had to be pts he was the hardest dog i have ever ownd or dug to. if you never dug him within 10 to 15 mins the fox was dead and he would draw it that was his downfall in the end he just went mad he would attack every thing including me and istead of selling him for some one to abuse he got put to sleep.GUTTING [/Real shame Brog, looked a handy dog, and not to big either. goldy 0
j.p. told me 20 years ago that you only lose a good dog, and that you cant lose a bad un.... looking back how true. Quote Link to post
turnerboi 27
I was absolutley gutted to lose this one at the beggining of this season and it has really put a dampener on the season although only 3 he had proven himself time and time again. He was lost in an earth that I have dug many times in the past and once with this dog before so I didnt expect what we came across. After digging over 4 metres in rock with a jcb we reached him in a vertical tube having dropped down head first. One of his first in a place that I was told didnt go over 1 metre another early dig A good 3metre + dig to him And sadly his last dig RIP Butch lad This dog was a real joy to own and work and a real credit to Busterdog who bred him. atb Drifter Nice too see you've got you're one and only jumper back on mate On the seriuos side shame about young Butch, hope you find the next great think shortly. It is my lucky jumper busterdog Im having a whip around to see if I can get a new one knitted for next season times very hard! i d donate you one of mine but it d be a bit baggy round the guts lol. it is a sickener when you lose a good one, i know it knocked you for six mate, unfortunately thats the risk we take every time we take em out. it does make you realise that some times we take old reliable for granted. its only when you lose them that u realise how good they were.a 20lb terrier more often than not out weighed and out matched in size and strength which enters a hole barely big enough to crawl into then stays there beyond all punishment that is dished out to him and every attempt to drive him back he still stands his ground and screams FXXK YOU THE GAFFERS ON HIS WAY AN I AINT MOVING.they have my full respect. they live for the work and we are priveliged to own and work such dogs. ill donate a tenner if i get my coat and torch back bud Quote Link to post
