Washing, lubing and chronographing your pellets and rifle

Recommended Posts

Hi Shay,

Yes mate they are FX 16 grain pellets.

£10.99 for 500, but worth every penny buddy.

The R10 loves them and so does the HW100KT and Pro Sport.

Ive changed the HW100KT to Accupells though after the chrono results on them mate.

The HW100Kt just loves Accupells to bits mate giving mint power to consistancy readings.

If your loacl shop doesnt sell them mate then you can order them from Blackpool Air Rifles.

Ive just done some more video today of my shooting the Pro Sport at 40 metre targets with the FX pellets.

Ill post it shortly so you can see how good they are.

hi zini

just watched the footage,so have decided to give it a go.i have never done this in the past,so there is a first time for every thing.i have cleaned both rifle barrels AAS410K .177 & AAS410K .22

and have washed and lubed the AA fields .177 & .22 so going to give it a go saturday/sunday to see if it improves my groups, and the reason i have decided to do this,is what you said

(you wouldnt put dirty oil in car ) or to some affect, which dose make sense.

i have read a lot of reviews on washing & lubeing and some say good results and some say why clean & lube if it grouping ok (if its not broke, dont try to fix it) to affect, which also makes sense, :icon_eek:

so the only way is to try it, and see for my self the end results.like i said have read a lot on this subject, but not actually seen footage! so that was good too! so lets see what happens

well done on the footage!

No problems Davy pal,

Im really glad that the footage was of some use to people and especially someone who can shoot as well as yourself buddy  .

I look at it this way mate.

Even if people dont see an improvement in their groups sizes, its still giving a little more respect to their rifle by feeding it clean ammo instead of dirty stuff.

I think some people (not you pal) could have surgical cleaned ammo and still not improve their groups due to just not being able to apply the simple marksmanship princilpes and shoot well mate.

hi zini

i took the rifle and camera out today, just waiting for the footage to download.i must say using the .22 took some getting use too again,i was loosing light and pretty stressed, with the amount of zeroing i had to do before filming.but was reasonably happy as the time went on with .22 but still tink it do with tighter groups though,or maybe its just me! :icon_eek:

regards
