Poodle

Hi all, i was watching a dog training program this morning and there was a poodle on there, the trainer claimed that poodles are intelegent, have good noses,fast and used as police dogs in france. so i was just wanting to know if anyone used them for a bit of work

gessin ur on abowt standard not toy lol meant to of originated in france as gundog popular on water retreives but at a guess ud be hard pushed to get owt wi workin lines thru it sure sum1 will sumwher like

I know this sounds like b@ll@cks but its true, there was a lad that had a toy poodle many years ago in Stoke that worked owt. It was blind as a bat and was still working away just as i got into the job. If any Stoke lads are on ask some older boys about Stevo's Dandy.

somebody posted in the gundog section about not being allowed to take part in a course because he had a standard,he says its shit hot

they will work and in germany they have the poodle pointer.

As it happens there was an ad in the countrymans a few weeks ago selling poodle x grey pups.

No idea what there called tho as a lab x poodle is called a labradoodle, a lab x springer is called a springador etc etc so perhaps poo hounds! Lol!!
