freem 25
its not just about administering medicine, breeding bitches etc. you are missing the point skellyb we are standing up to tell the government to f#ck off and keep their hands off our way of life so that we don't get lumped with a ban like ye have to suffer banning the ward union and trying to control hunt kennels is only "the thin edge of the wedge" what's next after that? who's job is next? even if someone doesn't agree with another persons sport, whether its shooting, coursing, digging etc. we still have support our right to hunt. freem Quote Link to post
skellyb 8
I have no problem in supporting your and anyone else's right to hunt, and that is what you should be concentrating on protecting NOT lumping in the new dog breeding laws to your arguments. Quote Link to post
Johnny85 50
Skellyb, I do not try to defend any ill-treatment. I could not agree more with your arguments. You are right. HOWEVER, we said the same about the Ward Union Staghounds, all will be ok when they were put under a license system. Its not, as Minister Gormley has decided not to issue it. He has regular meetings with the Irish Council Against Blood Sports. The hunting people of Ireland agree FULLy with controlling puppy farms, However once you license something, its a lot easier to not issue a license than ban it. This is a back door way of not issueing licenses to hunt clubs. He does not need to ban it, just not allow us keep bitches. As for the money raising, hunt clubs in Ireland are all already on a fine line. This expsense would cripple alot of them. Quote Link to post
