trouble bolting

i have been out in the feilds the past few weeks after the snow lifted and my ferrets are having real trouble bolting the rabbits since the snow fall but before that they were bolting niced and quick. any ideas

have you noticed any peg holes ?? are you keeping quite approaching warren ?? how do you know bugs is at home ?? are you quite & still whilst ferrets are working, ?? i have had same problems & some days they dont bolt as well especially if its been ferreetd hard ,they are less likely to bolt if they know a welcome committee is waiting

yea always nice and silent and alway check for what i think are tell tale signs thats aint seen out. but a friend did say it might be that time of year again. thanks for the info

Aye the rabbits are getting hormonal as well and need some pushing out

Went out today, was chucking down with icy rain. Took 8, with only one kill underground and the ferret came back up when called anyway. Not the fastest of bolters and they tried to give the ferrets the run around. Didn't work tho.

at this time of year i find the doe's just dont wont to move away from the worran i bolted a few other day and they were all bucks thats just what i think tho pal could be wrong
