Used to use a ruger 10/22 semi auto on the rabbits.

Great bit of 'basic' kit.

The yanks love em and there are lots of aftermarket stuff for em.

Only problem I had was a few jams mainly due to using subsonics.

Having said that if you keep it clean it will work fine

It's a very wide question, they are more trouble than a bolt, less accurate, likely to eat more ammo, harder to clean and probably a few other minus points.

But it's all relative, look after it, keep it clean and find the right ammo and it will probably perform perfectly adequately.

And if it starts playing up or you want to custom it a bit, there are a vast number of aftermarket parts available for it!!

Hi Ive got a 10/22 semi auto and Ive got to say Im happy with it, I have suffered a few frustrating jams but this is always the spent case not ejecting quick enough which is probably a cleaning issue, although saying that the less I clean it the less jams i seem to have :hmm:

I didn't like the wooden stock so i bought a Hogue synthetic stock from rimfire magic for about £80.00 and its much better as I only really use mine for bunnies so Im often climbing over walls and fences etc and its much harder wearing.

I put a Parker Hale mod on it and its quieter than most air rifles Ive had. As for accuracy its spot on
