oakey 57
Fairly new to pcp's but not to air guns just wondered about the law with carrying a divers bottle in a car . Not that i have one i went for a air pump as i only use my ultra for hunting then it's not that much just a quick mooch about before ferreting or a bit of lamping Quote Link to post
SNAP SHOT 194
Not sure about the law where you are, but while diving we used to place a sticker on the car stating it was carrying compressed air... its a small diamond shape and green and black, lets the emergency services know exactly what they are dealing with in case of an accident... just make sure its well secured as you really don't want to see what happens if the valve comes of a cylinder.... in either 232 or 300 bar... A cylinder will need an inspection one a year called a VIP check. and a hydrostatic test every five years... to comply with regulations. ps. it will save you a hell of alot of pumping...lol Snap. zini 1,939
I use a FX 4 stage and it pumps my HW100KT in under a minute from bottom of the green and my R10 in about 3 minutes after about 100 shots taken. Good exercise and free air. Zini Quote Link to post
slingshot82 32
Divers bottle any day! Fill your gun effortlessly. I use a carbon fibre bottle. Bought it from the place I get it filled, It was ex fire service breathing apparatus. Very light compared to steel. It only costs between £3 to £5 each time you want it filled. Just find your local dive centre. ATB Kyle Quote Link to post
kev1299 0
If you buy a second hand carbon fibre cylinder be wary of its age, as c/f cylinders only have a 15 year lifespan. Quote Link to post
slingshot82 32
I forgot to mention that, mine still has around 6 years left. Most people would go for steel dive tanks anyway, they are much easier to get hold of. Quote Link to post
farmerkev09 105
am thinking of getting the fx stage 4 pump they have a good review Quote Link to post
zini 1,939
They are fab little pumps Farmer You will probably find if you buy one that the gear system on the top can be left open all the time and never closed. I always leave mine open which enables you to fill your rifle very quickly indeed. The gear system closed still pumps but not as much air at once as when open. It makes it easier for the pumper i surpose. Si Quote Link to post
