reddog70 236
how do you all feel about sharing your permission? i was thinking along the the lines of the owner letting others on to there land.. it happened to me recently at somewhere i have used mainly for ferreting and have taken good numbers over the years.. the owner has units he lets out and one of tenants approached him for ferreting guess he couldnt say no.. i went to ferret the other day to be told by 4 lads dont bother weve done all round here..got to say it boils my pi## abit... i will say though i think its easier than sharing my lamping permission and i noticed they only attempt the easier sets i will fecking hammer it next season Quote Link to post
Guest bluemink
if its tennants then fair enough. In normal circumstances though if your doing your job properly the landowner should have no reason to get others in and in my experince they will stay loyal and once someone is doing the pest control they will not allow anyone else to. The fact of the matter is that most people share there permision with poachers anyway... Quote Link to post
mickmck 716
permission is very hard to come by at the best of times , so i would be a bit cagey about sharing it Quote Link to post

bagzi 0
I was going pigeon shooting a few weeks ago, when I was heading out to the field and bumped into the Farmer who said there was already some Lads out there! What can you do? So I just said f**k it then. He was saying you could go out with them or go down the bottom end I got in My van and went. I'm still pissed-off! Quote Link to post

Paul in North Lincs 15
I once took someone on one of my permissions out of the goodness of my heart. The chap was new to the area and didnt have any permission..........I went away on holiday an when I returned that farmer told me that 'my brother' had been on in my absence!!!!! Cheeky Berstard - what a cockaroon! Needless to say I had a oe sided conversation with him and burst his pumkin with the farmer....sometimes though its inevitable.....On another permission I do the rabbit control for the 'tenant' of teh land using ferrets and dog - no guns aloud. Another chap who knows the farmer is aloud to shoot on there, but what can you do?......... do your job....respect the farmers wishes and good things down the line usually happen! - does leave you with a shitty taste in your mouth thought!
