the fezz 44
Jesus wept but that sounds dangerous stuff .... I'm assuming that if dogs came into contact with it would be harmful to them as well. Why the hell would anybody use something like that in the countryside where other animals/people can come into contact with it?? [/quote its not used outside of the holes as it would kill no end of things including you , you put it down the holes and nowhere else Quote Link to post
MoChara 1,632
lurchergrrl i was wondering the same thing when i read about it.. it actually said about it being dangerous to livestock so if its farmers useing it they are putting their own animals in danger as well, never mind anybody eles animals Quote Link to post
lurchergrrl 1,441
Sounds a bit risky to me. Accidents happen, things get spilt etc. Give me the creeps really. Quote Link to post
events co-ordinator 353
The antidote is amyll nitrate Quote Link to post
Meerihunter 7
It's actually not as dangerous as you are thinking if spilt in the open it works by taken the oxygen out of the air, the Nazi used it on the Jews moisture in the earth and air triggers it when used from rabbit control, the Nazi used it in the shower blocks. In the open air as it quickly reacts to moisture in the air but because you are in open air it is more likely to disperse, saying thank I have a had bad headaches at times when using it so even in open spaces care was needed but would'nt really leave any risk to anyone passing by at a late time. bagzi 0
When I was Keepering in 70's-'s the use of Cymag was widespread I used it when Vixens had Cubs. Back in those days I also used another white powder poison called chlorollose, which I used mainly in Eggs, for Crows and Magpies etc. Quote Link to post
FENS FEVER 147
There is a powder called Pindone poison apparently it comes in liquid or powder form, the other which i think is the main one is a concentrate of hydrogen cyanide, (cymag or cyanogas) the way it was explained is that the powder form is put at the mouth of the burrow for maximum results or scatter.. think i got that right you are [bANNED TEXT] its cyanide, deadly stuff, Quote Link to post
