anything u lot use to help a dog rid or keep fleas off em in the summer months i use flea collars and have had good results with them been told a garlic capsule once a week helps keep em off the dogs wat u lot use

Dont bother with frontline, theres another called advantage. That should do the trick. Also it would be a good idea to get a professional pest controller in twice a year to do a residual insecticidal spray of your kennels/home. Ask them if they are able to guarantee their work.

Harkamitex, 15ml in 1L of water in a spray bottle, spray all around the kennel and beds and 5 or 6 sprays around the dogs neck and down its back, the bottle does say not for use on livestock but i have never had a problem in 12 years, you wont see a flea or tick or any creepy crawlie near you dog this stuff is lethal, available on Ebay for about £9

If you can put up with the smell and your dog can! Lavender oil, comb it in and watch them jump off simple cheap non chemical quick and i'll vouch for it. It really is amazing the results!

Is Harkamitex not just for mites,- in birds. Harmless to animals i think, but Frontline is designed for fleas etc

how does the lavender work if the dogs licking itself clean or do you only put it on back of the neck and down the spine where the dogs hard to reach?

It may be just a local to me type thing but iv heard of resistance issues with it. May not be country wide tho.

I've had resistance problems with Frontline also. Advocate spot on is great and is effective against Lung worm also.
