bigadg 5
got a call yesterday from a local keeper, who told me the tennant farmers were moaning about the wild turkeys and guniea fowl left over from the shooting season, and would i go with my .17 hmr and sort it out for him. we had 2500 acres to search, and within the hour we found them 3 turkeys and about 20 guinea fowl. first 3 shots sorted the big fellas out and then we took just 3 of the guinea fowl out. the keeper wanted to keep the remaining fowl. didnt realise just how big these turkeys were, must be 3 foot tall at least, and close on 20lb just finished eating mine and boy was it nice really moist and much more tasty than the shop brought crap adg
RaiderBoy 19
At 20 lbs of weight hes probably been feasting on the local foxes . i never would of thought a turkey could survive in the wild on its own. Richard
