Toka 10
Can antone who knows help.... i have the CZ .22lr and love it... i may be going to get a CZ .17 HMR but am wondering if the stocks are the same. I am a lefty and am wondering if they use an ambidextrous stock? If they use an ambidextrous stock is it just the difference in side for the bolt? I am just trying to work out the best possability... rowey 1
I'm a lefty too. I have a CZ.22 with a right hand all weather stock and get on fine with it but my CZ .17 American is a wooden straight stock with a right hand action. It's a great piece of kit. So great that the 22 is gathering dust. Quote Link to post

Toka 10
hi...my CZ .22lr is an ambi stock as far as know and it is great... as a lefty i am more than happy to use a rifle with the bolt on either side as i have had to...but i would want either an ambi stock or a left handed one. the hmr i have at present i was gifted and it has a right hand stock...it is of a curved design and has a very big drop from the butt to the line of sight. not so much of an issue for a righty as the cheeck piece is quite a feature but on my side it means it is difficult to keep your head in one place and a bit uncomfortable as the butt sits very low.... hope this makes sense... ATB forgot to add that if the CZ 17.hmr is an ambidextrous stock then i can look at some second hand ones as well... Edited February 12, 2010 by Toka Quote Link to post

All the wood CZ 17 stocks I've seen are straight ie ambidextrous Quote Link to post
Toka 10
thanks....i wasnt sure, so the left/right handedness is down to which side the bolt is on....which is ok as i dont mind which side and if anything i am more used to a right handed action!! it opens far more possabilities with the likes of secondhand rifles too.... danebrewer10 6
you could get yourself a nifty synth stock from wild dog stocks- they make a drop in one for the CZ rimfires- I think they do a LH version as well... DB Quote Link to post
