an all rounder

Recommended Posts

it's all a lottery mate, all you can do is lower the odds by finding two good dog's that have been bred by lads who get out a lot on the sort of stuff you want to hunt,as you've probably guessed by now everyone likes different crosses on here as our great country has such different region's,mountains, fens, small fields etc,and not all types will suit that particular terrain, what do other lads in your area run?do they catch much?don't rush in is my advice, get out with a few like minded people in your hunting area and see if it suits you, lurcher's and longdog's by col ted walsh is a timeless book full of all the information anyone could want on most crosses, hope this helps, wirralman

That is a GOOD post :notworthy:

I wouldn't say that whippet crosses are injury prone. My 50/50 beddy/whippet has bounced off steel gates out on the lamp after a coney and it didn't phase him! He also jumped straight into the top bar of a gate after thinking the second one down was the top one, again didn't bother him!:thumbs:
