Guest Pat Posted October 23, 2004 Report Share Posted October 23, 2004 (edited) Please take this post down if you dont think its suitable for these forums me and couple of my mates went to check some earths today first earth we checked we saw people watching us any way we knew what were going to happen (calling police) so we just carried on we werent doing anything illegal so we werent botherd finished checking that earth walking up the edge row towards another sett noticed three coppers walking over the field towards us tripping over in there nice clean shoes in the wet mud ( could of P****D my self). they got to us and said "now then lads what you up to" my mate said "Or just doing a bit of ratting" and I asked him what the complaint was about and one of them goes "B***** B******. so I just laughed at him and said as if wed do that were only ratting and he took our details and all the usuall crap and searched us but me especially inside my coat and everything one of my mates didnt even get searched for any knifes or anything and they ask what the terrier locator was for so I said or to find the ferrets when you put them down a rabbit or rat hole ( they didnt have a clue and knowing one of my mates he took advantage of this ) and he goes you havent got any ferrets with you today" no I just keep it in the bag so I dont forget it" and one of them made my mate show them were we had just been and my mate showed him runs in the grass and said " thats were rats run in and out the grass and the dogs chase them they werent even runs just were the grass had been flattend " and that was that my mate goes this is my hobby you owt to go down in to the village an arrest some of them that are nicking all the cars at least Im not causing trouble or nicking things the copper didnt answer him. Thing that gets me is they were there with in 10 minutes if your house is getting robbed they take 3 hours to come. Any way they went away with more than what they came with from all the dogs jumping up now I werent going to get the dog to stop it were I all there trousers were coverd in mud . we hada good laugh about it when they had gone anyway carried on checking the earths didnt get nothing out all day only caught one rat accounted for by my mates 6 month old WhippetxWheaton. When I told them it wasn't that i had a problem with dogs cos i got three of my own they asked to see them. Guest Pat Posted December 23, 2004 Report Share Posted December 23, 2004 spade if theyd of said that to me Id of felt like kicking them out the door I know a women who has a game farm and she got a bit of land were she runs a little shoot and they saw poachers lamping it one night they had an air rifle and were shooting every single pheasent they came across and she made about 5 phone call to the police they wouldnt come out so in the end she lyed told the cops they were badger baiting they were there within minutes helicopter was out and everything.
