kevin kiely 66
has anyone used deerhound/grey half cross on long ears before the ban? Quote Link to post
Dan Edwards 1,134
In a roundabout way, this is kinda what we run on coyotes over here. I would not suggest them for serious jackrabbit work so I would say its not a good idea. Just an opinion though. Quote Link to post

Just an opinion though. iv got a saluki cross, which i know they did the business pre ban.iv heard that for the fields in ireland deerhound crosses were used a bit years ago.my mate had a deer/whip x grey/whip and she was a good courser so id like to see the half cross in action.just wanted to find out a bit more after readin that irish lady supposedly had a good bit of deerhound in her, Quote Link to post
Dan Edwards 1,134
I can see how the deer blood with the whip blood to a greyhound type would be very handy on them. Big dogs just dont have the ability to cut though like a proper jackrabbit dog. At lest mine dont. Quote Link to post
