how old is to old to breed from?

As already been said i wouldnt even think of breeding a litter till6,Because then i know the dog has done all i need,(been tested).Also older bitch`s have smaller litters.

Wasn't going to bother breeding with the ban

but decided i couldn't let the line die so bred my bitch at the ripe old age of 10 years 3 months her 1st litter

had 8 pups,4 survived and the 2 i kept back for myself the bitch let them suck her till they were 12weeks old.

wouldn't worry about it, as long as your bitch is fit and healthy, she'll be fine, but wouldn't leave it much longer if you want a pup out off her, good luck mate!!!

Surely if you put a bullcross to an oldish maiden bitch you would be risking birthing problems? I would expect big bull heads pups take some shifting for a maiden bitch?
