ya mate although it has been done i would say its too late i normaly call it a day at 5 year old but depends on dog its your dog if out goes wrong its your loss if ya get what in saying

Well it looks like my patterjack possibly may still have it at 9 Randy little nobhead the last litter he fathered were all perfectly healthy with no runts or disabilities.

if she is in tip top health ie still as good a worker as when she was 2 and a half then ya go for it but get a check up at the vets before hand mate good luck

go for it mate 6year old not to old at all if the dogs healthy she ll be fine 6 is not that old for a lurcher they uually live to a good age different story if she was a pedigree dog they dont seem to live as long and healthy as cross breeds go for it if she s proved herself to you then she be worth breeding from and it s good to give a bitch a litter so they say

The oldest bitch Ive bred from was 8 but she did have 2 litters previously, if she hadnt I would have thought twice about it, if she wasnt any good I wouldnt have thought about it full stop..

Never considered breeding from a bitch till shes 6+. Someone mentioned 21/2yrs for fitness well IMHO a bitch would of only worked one full season by that age and will be far from the finished article as far as work goes you should bar injury get another 4 good seasons work out of her,too many pups are bred from bitches before they've peaked in work and matured to their full capabilities once again IMHO
