Recommended Posts

Few picks of our coursing bitch sire is a black and tan saluki dam is halfx saluki whippet red and tan . She is just turned a year had one or two there in dec and january and had a few rabbits with her not alot of work for her so we are thinking about selling her so someone can get the use out of her she is 22" a bit timid with folks she dont know. Anyone any pictures of the same x and do they find them timid aswel around strangers , do you find them slow in coming on ?

She is usualy ok getting back on the leash but if there are stragers about she go's back into herself and sort of crunches up and hardly walk's she gets excited in the kennel when you go get her out. Not to sure about if she will be for sale or not we have had her from 8 weeks we got her and her sister but didnt have the work for our rabbiting dogs so sold the sister now we are struggling to get the work for them they are out 3 time's a day for a walk but she was bred for work and would probably be better of at use rather than rotting away but we will see.

As i said to a few pm's iv had i aint sure i had not realy thought of a price etc still unsure whether to let her go. My brother is always at me to take her out lamping etc but the bitch would be wasted slipped on things she shouldnt be. Anyway i would not want funny money for her i paid £150 for her and i would be happy for around about that back on her if the right home was available the bitch can be very shy with people she dont know so i am unsure as yet. The bitch has had 6 runs and taken two good sized bunny's there one at the end of december and one in january i just cant get out with the bitch she has had a dozen or so rabbits mooching with the other dogs on a walk but thats all she has seen as i say i would have to talk to my brother as she is both of ours and would have to speak to the lad who bred her and see if he is happy for me to do it .

you can tell what the bitch's coat is like through them photo's some saluki's have no feathering so dont be fooled into thinking every saluki based lurcher will. nout wrong with her feet she has 4 and they do exactly what they were made to .

you can't deny that they are a bit flat though.

Most saluki and saluki x's i have seen's feet look as i said the bitch does exactly what she was meant to do and if people dont think she has good feet that makes me no less up nor down my dogs are all here to serve a purpose and i see nout wrong with her feet my self.

my lurchers are both saluki xs and both have long flat feet, yeah sometimes they bash their feet up a bit but they will work on with injured feet, dont slate the dog before you've seen it in the flesh

I have seen saluki X's with poor feet and it can cause problems, anyone in their right mind would rather havea dog with good feet. I am not slating the dog just a mere observation, that's all.
