fishing for pike tonight

i was just wondering what the best bait would be for dead baiting for pike

Each to their own, also depends how how hard the water is fished, but I find a good sized half mackrel works wonders for me, blueys are also a great Pike bait, but if the water that you are fishing recieves little presure then I would stick to roach and the sorts.

try a mackerel tail on the bottom and if your using to rods try a smelt on the float.

smelts, lampray and mackrel will do the trick. also try fresh rabbit offel, use some salmon oil in a pva bag and put the liver,lungs heart on your hook and into the bag.

Yes thats if live baitings allowed or you can catch some first

if any one takes their pike fishing seriously they will always have live baits ,if not and you get a small jack pike and the water is known for big pike ,just lip hook the jack with one set of trebles and leave the other set loose and let it swim around .,then hold on tight.especialy at night .

Well said mate ive just got back from PIKE FISHING and caught FFUCK ALL, had DEADBAIT'S LURE'S and SPINNER'S ,complete waste of TIME i new i should of caught some LIVE BAIT'S but never had the TACKLE

Make SURE YOU HAVE LIVE BAIT and let us no the out come
