hound 1
phone compines up the worset they can say is no. I did it to a firm called predator pest control in london. i was working for mitie and had a row with the MD on a friday. i strated a with predator 2 weeks later. i am slightly diffrent in the fact that i was not a avrage pestie as i was a falconer as well. So predator got me to set up a falconry section for them when i started i did have a open cheque book to get every thing up and running. i left them after 18months due to the traveling i was doing each day just to do a days work some times it was 5 hours aday when i had a young family it was not fair so i had to put them first. So i had a break from pest control for about 6 months by going back to farming. This was not working so i phoned up a firm calld kestrel pest control in the morning went for an interviw in the afternoon and came away with a contract of employment. Basicly what im saying is if you dont ask you dont get. As a follow on from doing pest control i got offered and accepted my dream job where over 600 lads applyed for and that is a wildlife/pest controller ona 10000 acre farming estate that is over run with rabbits pigeons rats etc etc im basicly paid to hunt, ferret and shoot and this all came about from working for one of the big national companies if it was not for them training me up and give me the experiance i would not be sat here in my dream job. If it is something you want to do dont give up on your dream job at times it is sh1t work and you will think what the hell am i doing. but the good times out way the bad times. Go get your pest control job if you get knocked down jump stright back up and keep fighting for it when you do get one, keep your head down work hard and im sure your enjoy it and make a living. BTMR 0
This may get removed but I'm going to try anyway!! I'm finding it very hard to get into this occupation as vacancies are always too far to travel. I don't really want to spend £1500 on the rsph course and have no experience to start out myself. I'd lke to ask if theres any pest controllers in the north west of England looking to employ or give experience to myself 22 yr old male very genuine and struggling to get into this occupation. I live in Wigan and willing to travel a 30mile radius. Many many thanks if you can help. How about becoming a Traditional Molecatcher ? Do have a look on our website - we run very successful and valuable Molecatching courses in which you may be interested. www.britishmolecatchers.co.uk Cheers. BTMR Quote Link to post
