TOMO 26,641 Posted February 11, 2010 Report Share Posted February 11, 2010 but a bet they were both run together not that i dissin it i would be buzzing for 20 year if i had done that. i run my dogs single handed as i believe they run the game for longer its more about the chase than the kill for me i had about 20 at the most with 2 dogs and only run single handedly atd lads stewie gd catches no mate both dogs ran single handed Quote Link to post
cooper101 86 Posted February 12, 2010 Report Share Posted February 12, 2010 (edited) 12 rabbits and 3 r.d!!(not red)with my 3/4 grey 1/4 collie the pic on my profile is my next biggest bag single dog!!! sorry wont b putting any pics up for reasons we all know!! thats sum going with that many rabbits were do u go to get bags like that ive only ever seen those numbers caught longnetting!! nice job fella!! whin 463 Posted February 12, 2010 Report Share Posted February 12, 2010 back years ago a freind caut 5 roe and twelve hares with his dogs at 4 pound a hare and a pound 25 a pound for roe thats the best dogs ive saw and probaly ever will see even tho i have avery good young dog i bred , and got home safely , any body who thinks catching rabbits on a lamp is some feat realy has to have a quite word with there selve , ive saw some of the cur looking lurchers catch rabbits butt hat was his limit full stop , in the borders of scotland you could catch as many as you wanted i stopped at 68 one nite because i thought 75 p a rabbit i need to gut them etc it was good sport that nite but ,well a rabbits a rabbit and as kids we caught them no big deal on the [bANNED TEXT] land ,over the first season on cafreamill we had 3 500 , and therre were more than me , i do miss it now with the way the politics are hunting and coursing but at the time i thought only arabbit ,but at this present climate its aday out i never ever think of them as some sort of super beast once i catch arabbit ,but its good fun and you get paid for clearing them all the best Quote Link to post
