Airgunner2010 1
i have just been given a westlake (smk) b2 .22 cal it has a few bangs on the stock but kk shoots well what do you guys think of them and how much do they go for Edited February 10, 2010 by Airgunner2010 Quote Link to post
othickman 6
Due to the nature of smk guns (cheap lol) the quality of their guns aren't particularly consistent; I've talked to people who have them and love them, they can practically get pellet on pellet at 20m (which for a springer is v. good) but others have said theirs is crap! So basically, if you can get a decent grouping with it, then it's a good one, otherwise if you can't it isn't Quote Link to post
Airgunner2010 1
its my first westlake (smk) as i normaly use bsa hornet or airarms s200 Edited February 10, 2010 by Airgunner2010 Quote Link to post
aaronpigeonplucker 32
there rubbish. i tried one and couldent get consistent groups past 10m. there great plinking guns though. Quote Link to post
air gunner 0
with a good piston and spring polish you might be able to turn it around? i havent got one but do have a springer and after a bit of practice and some fine tuning it performed much better. it now has a gas ram and is far better. however my gun is rendered useless because of the darn trigger. zini 1,939
Airgunner2010, As said the rifle is a cheap Chinese manufactured rifle. That said as long as you can group it ok, meaning that it is consistant enough for you and you are having fun using it, it doesnt matter what others think about it. I own 2 very good and expensive PCPs, I also own a Chinese TS45 which will cost about £35 tops. I get as much fun and joy shooting that than i do my PCps. You just need to know your and your rifles shooting caperbilities buddy and stick to them. I have a cousin who owns a B2. He shoot rabbits with it to 25 metres with a 4x32 scope no problem. He is very happy with it pal. Best of luck with it too mate Si Edited February 10, 2010 by zini Quote Link to post
andyfr1968 772
Hi, mate. If the gun's shooting well and you can place your shots where you want, the bunnies won't give a toss if they've been shot by a Daystate or your B2. Good luck with it! Cheers. Quote Link to post
zini 1,939
Good advice that Andy Si Quote Link to post
Phantom 631
I have heard both sides of the argument. I own a Chinese Spring rifle (SMK Mod XS19 not the B2) and I have litterally put one Pellet up the skirt of another Pellet with it and fused the said pellets into one chunk of lead As long as I have been consistant, it has also been consistant Its been responsible for quite a few dead bunnies out and past 35 yards. I've not had any propblems with it I prefer the AA S200 when sniping and for serious paper punching, but for shooting from standing at quarry I like my chinese springer Phantom Quote Link to post
zini 1,939
Quite true Tony mate and a good point. Si Quote Link to post

brett, mills 0
My son has a b2 and yes it was a bit crap out the box so a strip down was in order. I polished the piston, spring guide etc and fitted a new ss spring lubed it all with moly grease and its shooting 8 ft/lbs which is about right as they have a very short piston spring chamber. you can replace the trigger spring for a pen type and polish the trigger faces whilst its all it bits. I would put some lock thread on the breech screws, stock screws and trigger gaurd screws as they have a habbit of working loose. you can get good info from here on chinese airguns chineseairgunforum good luck Brett Quote Link to post
