Irish Lurcher 1,013 Posted October 6, 2006 Report Share Posted October 6, 2006 This is a River Suck Pike, caught on a dead Roach. The Pike took the bait within seconds of my cast, fought like a bull. The river is stuffed with such fish, mind you its a long river, so you must know where you are going. We had four 20lb plus Pike that day, smallest was 22-12, biggest was 26-8. Quote Link to post

What i hate most of all, is the germans and french that come over and kill all pike of all sizes They are very ignorant with attitude aswell. Theyre the same when shooting our lad still has lead shot in his head off the beating line off our box headed cousins mind you it hasnt made him any more even headed All joking apart though Pike one awesome prehistoric freaky looking fish that as you say Frank plays its part in the cycle of life and should be respected for it and of course the most spectacular of the species is of course FEMALE Quote Link to post
