littlefish 588 Posted February 8, 2010 Report Share Posted February 8, 2010 It's still a wee baby....what breed is it? any pictures? Try doing just a few short retrieves to keep it novel and a game. By keeping it on a lead, it keeps you in control and helps you guide the pup to get it right. Play with the dummy then throw it across the room or garden, run with the pup on the lead to begin with, let it lift the dummy then run back to where you started and play with it and praise the pup. Don't sicken the pup by too much repetiton or too high expectations, keep it lighthearted....it has its whole life to learn and improve. Quote Link to post

My plummers 8 months old and i still accept hese a pup when he runs about with a stick rather than searching for rabbits. Quote Link to post
