HOW MANY DOGS HAVE YOU LADS GOT AND DO THEY GET ALL THE WORK THE NEED? HOW MANYS TOO MANY? I HAVE 2 AND THATS ENOTH

Have 3 myself my bitch and her 2 pups but 2 3 running dogs is just the right amount.

If your digging alot think yea would need about 3 terriers 2 luchers but it all depends on how much yea get out and working them. Know 2 fellas and between them have about 24 dogs dont know what for because dont think there out that much need more then 24 hours a day till work them all

Iv had 3 at the most i thought it was far too many too put real work infront of,

 

So i keep two now and sometimes that even gets me thinking but when one get an injury thats when i see the benifit of 2..

As many as you can spend time feeding, exercising, grooming, providing good kennelling for and working ! And not to forget the vet fee's !

I got 2 lurcher 3 terriers thats plenty for anyone if working them only breeders need more

I have one lurcher and two terriers. Most i kept was four, a whippet, jack russell and two border collies, all worked to rabbits. I think a lot of it depends on the type of hunting you do, basically i do bushing and hunting up so i need at least a minimum of two dogs. All my dogs get taken out at the same time so its no more effort and nobody stays at home.

like the man said if u can look after them and feed and bed them all. uve only got to many if you cant look after them and feed them ive said it once tonite its all in the head. its called common sence.if u need them keep them. if u dont need them or havent got a perpus for them u shouldnt have them. somthing like that any way.(.just my oppinion)

i'm all for keeping dogs,but as above they should be well fed,exercised,treated and cared for( including vets etc).

last but not least WELL WORKED

 

i can understandpeople having 3- 4- 5 dogs( retired,injured etc etc).

 

 

as long as YOU have the means( space,finances etc) to keep the dogs WELL then smashing.if not don't.

15 terriers and 3 running dogs although 3 terriers and 1 big dog are pretty much retired now and 5 of the terriers are younguns coming on roll on nxt year and believe it or not twice this year ive stuggled to have a dog fit for work due to injurys etc

Too many dogs = not enough work to go round.

I knew a keeper who had 7 terriers, and probably worked them a handfull of times a season.

If you have enough work that the dogs earn thier keep then thats about right.

Too many people get a lurcher or a terrier just so they can say they have one, if they are not getting the work, they are not working animals.
