my dogs bell end is swollen, just been straight to the vets and i cant get an answare will keep trying anyone had seen this before and what can i do?

perhaps a change of vet pal ,sounds like some kind of infection !! has he been away humping a bitch :whistling:

no mate aint been over any bitches he's a virgin lol. just give a jab of penacillin just incase he got an infection, i'll have him to the vets soon as there only 2 here ones shut most of the time and ones always open and if its not you just knock his door but he's not in

just gone out now to get him its back in so will just keep an eye on him, i gave him a warm bath and tried putting it back in must of worked

 

thanks for the advice david i'll be more carefull next time

It may be balinitis mate, it's a general term for complications with the sheath or bell end. usualy they advise washing with saline solution, weak salt water, the vet may prescribe an ointment but it can be re occuring due to the licking issue.

let us know how you get on mate.

used to have this with a whippet/ghd used warm water

with TCP in a syrine and pump the mixture up into the sheath

and this cleared the problem :thumbs:
