Penicillin wont be enough if he's got urinary tract infection the vet would use something stronger like Clavamox. If an infection gets bad the dog could also have kidney trouble. longdog13 36 Posted February 7, 2010 Report Share Posted February 7, 2010 It may be balinitis mate, it's a general term for complications with the sheath or bell end. usualy they advise washing with saline solution, weak salt water, the vet may prescribe an ointment but it can be re occuring due to the licking issue. let us know how you get on mate.
