just for a bit of help regarding the rabbit skin dummy, this is what i done,

 

skin the rabbit, (eat the meat or give to the dog)

 

nail flat to a bord an scrape with a knife to get excess meat/fat ect off

 

cover in salt (dont know why i just remember reading it somwhere)

 

place in shed or other dry place for a few days, adding more salt if needed

 

wash the skin, if you do not have a proper canvas dummy, i used a coke bottle half filled with water to add weight

 

sew or tie the skin round the dummy/bottle

 

also you can add abit of reflective material (like off a hi vis jacket) this will help the dog see the dummy when you shine the lamp on

 

 

you may be able to buy one also

 

ok thank you all and i will do next time i go out with the ferrets i will the dogs got a bad paw from last night at the moment i have got a rabbit skin and have added sault and going to soke it in water tomorow atb happy hunting
