hi all can any one give me any tips on where to shoot a woody when its purched in a tree got my self a air arms s400 and the little fxxkers just keep flying off i no the gun is caperable cos it drops rabbits lovely its just me thanks kev

hi mate it will depend on your distance and gun is it .177 or .22 either way it has to be a head or neck shot the pigeons feathers are really thick and some shots will just injure the bird head or neck shot and its good night

its a 1 77 and am just gettting used to the gun but i cant see me improving much i get a wobble on does the it make much differance with it being 1 77 or 22

ive got a 177 s510 and i dont have any problems as long as i hit the head i dont think id try a body shot [bANNED TEXT] it would more than likely just injure the bird its all down to practice and confidence

shhot it in the head or crop(were the neck joins the chest) or smack through the hart but i dont like hart shots you cant always judge were it is. hope this helps

i have had many pigeons with hart shot out to 55 yard and killed clean .177 has very hi penitration out to about 60 yard with 11.5 to 12 and at 60 it went strait through

From behind u can drop them threw the spine but if you can head shot close range heart shots do the trick.

thanks for that pal is the heart persisioned in the middle of the chest its just that when am shooting i cant seam to hit the head but the neck dont sound to bad thanks

practise at your chosen range by putting ten shots inside a ten pence piece once you can do that and feel confident in doing it practise a few more times and then you should be ok dont risk injuring the bird practice makes perfect

i have an s400. always aim jsut behind the eye of the woodie and you can nevr go wrong. my rule is on the white band or upwards.

your very welcome but for rabbits you need to hit 10p and i try to hit a 5p size so you make sure you hit the brain for a bird and like every one who shoots says do lot of targets at your given distance and i always do my targets standing up or kneeling because thats how i hunt. good luck and happy hunting

am grouping the shots good when its horisontal but when its vertical am a bit rusty am just going to keep trying and hope i get the nack thanks for the advice all
