Endgame 68
PRODUCED SOME EXCELLENT DOGS FROM ITS BLOODLINE BUT I NEVER UNDERSTOOD WHY MANY PEOPLE BRED IT 2 DOGS THAT ALREADY HAD A LOT OF SALUKI IN THEM?? SO I CAN SEE WHERE BIGEARS IS COMING FM THAT MANY WERE SLOW. SEEMED 2 BE THE FASHION AT THE TIME 2 BREED 2 A PURE SALUKI..HOWEVER IAM A FAN OF FASTER TYPE DOGS BEING FM SCOTLAND. WHAT I HEARD SEVERAL TIMES FM PEOPLE THAT HAD DEACON BRED DOGS WAS THAT THEY TOOK THERE TIME 2 LEARN HOW 2 STRIKE CORRECTLY. HOWEVER GIVEN TIME & EXPERIENCE THEY CAME GOOD. THERE WERE A LOT OF DECENT DOGS BRED ON FM THOSE SIRED BY DEACON. Edited February 5, 2010 by Endgame Quote Link to post
bolio 51
Here's a bad pic of two Deacon daughters I had in the early 90's. They were from Deacon to a Whisper Wishes greyhound bitch and the red and white one killed a lot of hares, but would eat them if you didn't get to her in time. I don't think the black and white one ever killed anything though. A pal got her off me in her first season and she didn't do much for him either. Quote Link to post
