higun 10
had a ride out today with a pal of mine, on this land theres a little shoot thats organized between afew farmers and they try to run it when they have time, so theres no real keeper on there to keep the vermin down, so we tend to do it for them, on this land there is afew foxes but there abit lamp shy so its down to terrier work to control them, the first earth we tryed today we dropped on straight away in a one holed earth thats on a dyke next to a lambing field, the terrier took abit of time getting up to the vixen and when we broke through around 3ft ish there were a big tree root between the dog and fox, after lifting the dog out we cleared around the fox in which it was humanly dispatched, after a little tidy up we tryed afew more on a dyke side but nothing at home, we then had a drive round to a earth of around 10/12 holes thats right next to the game crop, we normally get a bolt from this earth and from the last 2 visits weve had bolts and ive totaly missed them with gun in which ive had the piss taken out of me, the terrier was entered and after around 20 mins we located her and there were no movement, after another 10 mins we decided to drop a hole, only around 3ft again in abit of compacted soil, we broke through to another vixen that was humanly dispatched, today we had a old bitch and a young un watching, the farmer was over the moon, heres afew pics LOOKS LIKE A GREAT BIT OF PEST CONTROL THERE BB NICE PAIR O DOGS TO Quote Link to post
