Alright lads I fancy a new gun and have narrowed it down to two it is gonna have to be a hw100 or a bsa r10 but I dont know wich one to go for. I must admit I am leaning towards the r10 just on looks alone but I want consistant acurate shots from a gun, wich do you lads think is the better of the two I will be getting the gun in 22 as I already have my aa s410 in 177 and fancy a change and my raider is not shot consistant.cheers guys.

Hi Moocher.

I know the R10 suffered a lot of problem's in the beggining.

I was looking at one, but was put off by the fault's.

B.S.A may have sorted it now??

So I went for the HW100T, quality through and through, a great rifle, and a joy to shoot, very quiet.

I suppose you take's your chance mate.

Good luck with your choice.

cheers guys, when I spoke to the guys in the gun shops today that I rang around they said the bsa has had its problems but they have all been sorted but they did not go into what the problems were one of them said that the magasines were just a revised super ten mag but didnt seem to knacker up like the super ten mags did but he said time will tell.

Moocher,

Ive sent you a PM mate with the answers to your PM questions

The R10's faults have been fixed now by BSA.

If you buy a new gun now you get one that is all sorted and is running perfectly. Some of the older faults were not helped by owners not looking and treating after the rifle correctly.

The mag on the R10 is floorless now and better than any other older version Super 10 model.

Ive shot thousands of pellets through mine and its never let me down, neither has the rifle to tell you the truth.

Ive shot it in rain, snow, fog and hail and its the same every time "deadly".

I own both a R10 and a HW100KT and the quality of the HW100KT is matched ounce for ounce with the R10 mate.

This is my snip on it.

If you are shooting from a vehicle then go for the HW100KT as its more compact and easier to move about.

If shooting on open land or you are planning long shooting days then go for the R10 due to 180 shots in .22 before you need to refill.

Accuracy wise they both are the same and better than anyone will be able to shoot them if you match the barrel with the right pellet.

The HW100KT is quieter than the R10, even when the R10 has a silencer fitted, but i have still managed to shoot a pair of woodies in the same tree with my R10 without scaring the second one off. Ive tried a HW silencer on the R10 and it makes no difference its still louder than the HW.

Feel in the shoulder, I like the R10 better, buts thats just personal preference and you need to try them both yourself.

Ask me which one id sell first if i had to and id say the HW100KT.

Si
