My mate has an Akita and his mrs has a shitzu the shitzu fuucks the Akita's head at every opportunity so not sure about this "all Akita's are dog aggressive" but will say even though the Akita is pretty fast he aint exactly agile when turning.

It would not bring anything till a lucher ?? What about good coat( work in any weather) good feed,Big,Strong and by the sounds off it alot off balls.Most off us who are into bigger game thats what we in a lucher all off the above.But by the looks off some off the pictures as people have said they whould be too thick and slow but a 2nd generation could do the job l think on most prey.As l said before people on here do like trying new things what we need is someone who as one till tell us what there like tehn we will all know

Lets think about most off us talking about this breed have never seen one in the field have never seen one in person or know any one you has one that is working it in this day off age.So how do we all know that it will be no good??? You all go on about they attack other dogs and people but sure is it not the pit bull terrier not knowing around the world for this???? and is it not the pit bull terrier that is breed till fight other dogs?. But most off your will jump at the chance and most off yea have bull cross so what is the diffence most luchers that are for big game are breed out off fighting dogs or guard dogs (wheaten , bull ,gs ,kerryblue) the list can go on and on.So lets not jump in two feed and put down across because if no one put a (wheaten,bull.gs.kerryblue coille, saulk, etc) too a greyhound how would we have the dogs we have too day some people on this site just dont want to try new things but if we didnt how would we know if they are any good or not??

 

 

Why is it some people cant see by the end of there nose.Tell me one thing where this breed would do better than the well knowen breeds

If no one has an AKITA x GREYHOUND then they cant say its useless until tried and tested am im correct?

Akitas are hard to train and slow, these two points alone should be enough to convince anyone that they would be producing second rate dogs which may at best sell as novelty dogs to some muppet with an advert in The Countrymans.

Lets not put more daft dogs in circulation when there are proven breeds to do all that is required.

do people have no respect for lurchers these days ffs. i doubt you will test them out fully genuine you obviosly have to much time on your hands as it is so i doubt you get out much with the dogs and work them hard.

i personally carnt see te point of this cross myself. in my experence my own dogs past and present could be inproved by many things...hunting ability...stamina....sometimes speed....depending on the quarry been hunted...but never have i said to myself after my dog has missed his quarry; i wish my dog was 20 pounds heavier or having a bigger head. my own saluki cross and prevous lurcher to lurcher dogs have been well matched for most quarry, and are only coming back empty mouthed because they ave been out run...not out powered.

yea the brother had one he went to work one day dog got out over a 8 foot run out on to the street killed two dogs brother got phone call about him he rang me to get him went up the road he,r he his coming down the road got hit with a car got up gave him self a shake not a bother out of him then stared going at people got him went home got the 12bore and he did not get up after that they are shit only thing they are good for is shitting and bitting people fooking shoot the c**ts a danger to children
