Colster 1
I'd go Wood Pigeon too, can be shot with a variety of guns, lots of them about, quick to dress and good to eat. Quote Link to post
bagzi 0
Woodies for Me,with a strong wind behind them I've missed loads but still enjoyed it! shame the don't taste like Woodcock. Quote Link to post
zap 4
i dont do alot of shooting i could go out everyday of the week and shoot woodys on my different bits of permission i enjoy it but prefer pheasant as i,m not great at sitting waiting around for the woodys to come in but the one bird i wood love a day at has to be the grouse my mate is a keeper on a grouse moor and i do a bit of beating to help him out now and then and watching those grouse fly towards the butts at what looks like the speed of a jet lol i take my hat of to lads that knock them down really is enjoyable to watch so if i could afford it a day at the grouse would be my choice Quote Link to post
RicW 67
Bill Bryson in Notes from a Small Island describes the life of a pigeon living on a railway platform. 1. Walk around aimlessly for a while, pecking at cigarette butts and other inappropriate items. 2. Take fright at someone walking along the platform and fly up to a girder. 3. Have a shit. 4. Repeat Ric Quote Link to post

danebrewer10 6
yup pigeons for me too, they present such varied targets, they're fast, maneuverable (sounds like I'm talking about some fighter plane!) plus there's quite a few of them, even thought I don't get too many... Groach 7
Partridge all they way, my favourite bird can be driven in so many ways and my favourtie bird in all ways, how they look, fly and so often fail to land without doing a couple of summer-salts (spelling) George Quote Link to post
