flying weight of female red?????

mine flys at 2.9.........but asking questions like that i hope you dont own one..

 

and why is that??

i have just got a red that i was told was a female the person i bought off told me she flys at 2lb4 but been reading his threads about the bird and he states that she was killing at 2lb7 so it doesnt weigh up to me thats all by the way i own a male red and a female harris.

There is no such thing of an average hunting/flying weight!,in the UK different races have been put together and so you could have a hare killing female eastern Red Tail doing the bussines at just over the 3lb mark and another female hunting at 2lb 4oz!

 

Just thought id add to this thread becouse i heared this morning that one guy i know has dropped his Red female so low that her blood sugar levels dropped and she collapsed becouse he listerned to a prat in Lincs (you know who you are) who is meant to have a centre saying his female was to fat becouse she would not chase and that it should fly the same as his which he never trained either.

Reason in my mind is becouse shes not fit and this person has just started out and thinks that becouse its a Red tail he can chuck it at every hare he sees!,all from the advice of this prat... :censored:

i know what you mean mate a lot of birds of prey are getting into the wrong hands i once to look at female red down lincs he had the bird sat on a bow on concrete due to bird bating it had worn her talons down and her toes were bleeding i bought the bird becouse she was in such a state and free lofted her for a while she is now perfect i hate these people cheers kieron

It would'nt happen to be the same guy I pm'd you about a while back for some info would it? Sounds like the sort of thing he would do on top of also being a time waster :yes:, Don't you get em mate! the trouble is we seem to get more of em these days :whistle:.
