bunnyhare123 0 Posted February 3, 2010 Report Share Posted February 3, 2010 just wanting a bit of advice. can antibiotics be used for strains like muscle strains and fractures, they are used on open wounds i understand this to stop infection and help with healing process but can they be used [bANNED TEXT] a dog has been knocked up and theres no physical signs like, sprained, pulled muscles, things like [bANNED TEXT] a dog is not putting weight on a leg for one reason or another.????? i understand they are not to be used for just anything and the body can heal alot on its own without them tend to use them for the more serious wounds but what are your opinions on internal things and things you cant see but know somethings wrong????? TOPPER 1,809 Posted February 3, 2010 Report Share Posted February 3, 2010 in short NO for sprains muscle problems use an anti inflammatory such as rimadyl . metacam etc but most of all keep the affected area warm and massage it gently a couple of times a day , but keep it warm this will help better than anything Quote Link to post
