The problem with[ daytime coursing ] is you need a dog that looks like it can kill a hare, I know there was a guy on with a pic of his dog saying that it could kill hares, but he's a lamper, you don't need any fancy dog to take a hare on the lamp,a farm collie will take hares on a lamp, and while I'm at it these guys with bull x's for foxes WHY the same collie will do the job and you could walk the length of the country with a collie at your side without a second look. I'm not saying anything bad about lampers it's just a different form of hunting and the original post was DAYTIME COURSING.

Westminister was never by choice...... Some of us recieved a fair bit of 'batton rash' that day, did it do anything to those on the recieving end....??

No, if anything it ensured we live the way we want to live.....!

And Chalks, I seen the photo's.... which club were you planning on going to, in that attire, after the event!!!

they had sent specail [bANNED TEXT] police in for a freindly march ,time to roll the sleeves up again and be morre prepared ,i cant beleive the lenths they are going to catch somebody chaseing game well i can as they did it in medieval times and it aint no better the laws at times apart from they do not beat you up as the did to us in thatchers regime at times ,i wonder what the general public think of the goverment shepherds and there underhanded ways

surely its about time for another march.... they didn't listen to us before, but if every single person affected (or sympathetic to those that are affected by this piece of fascist legislation) turned up, there would be a great many more people, I didn't make it to the last march because I was too young, but I would be there in a shot if there was another one....the turnout was good for the last march but it could have been better, wasnt it mostly fox hunters that went? but if every ferreter, pigeon shooter, general pest controller in the country went along....

also another idea, what about a country worker strike.... let the countryside go to shit for a while and when they beg for us to resume our jobs we can take back our right to hunt with dogs.... ah fantasy...

honest hunter if you think the last march was made up of mostly foxhunters your showing your ignorence every aspect of countrysports and then some was on that march all sticking together for the love of feildsprts and our way of life yes your right in that it didnt stop the ban but believe me it showed how strong we feel about our sport imo the main thing we didnt do right was march on a weekday to disrupt the city and get ourpoint across even more.lets hope that the labour get chucked out and that the conservatives stick to their word and get the ban overturned.

THE anti's lacs or what ever you may like to call them

fought a gorilla style war against fox hunting and hare

coursing, it took them many years even at the hight

of their campaign they could only drum up a couple of hundred

to march and protest , the last march at Westminster 459,000

pro hunting in all its forms turned up , the pr campaign should

start now , half a million turn up on a march at the right time

in the right place just before a general election , ;)

It would be a bad idea to have a march before a genral election as it would only loose the tories votes.Plus you would never get the support as most hunts have just carried on and proberbly want to keep a low profile.

In s.yorks you have not got a preyer of your m.p or 70pct of the public supporting hunting so wat you do [bANNED TEXT] you are a minority you just keep quite and get on with doing wat you have always done without bringing to mutch attention to your self but thats hard [bANNED TEXT] all the divvy field drivers have brought it all on top for anybody with a lurcher as were all getting tarred with the same brush.atb dell

yeah that was me mate. i know your right a coursing dog needs to look like a coursing dog. for 3/3 4/4 in daytime in the open. coursing not my thing though. if it was legal i would probly get into it but for the time being i think ill stick to lamping/daytime mooching.
