Nik_B 3,790
Hi all I've been meaning to post an update and some more pics but to be honest we're all utterly shattered. Ollie our new Lab pup has worn us out getting us up at night early mornings etc. Anyway aside from that he's been pretty good up to yesterday. In the morning he had food and went out for the toilet as usual. At lunch time I am doing training before he gets his food and I give him some of his food as rewards to him doing what I ask. As we proceeded I noticed he wasn't really taking the food and was letting it drop out of his mouth and after half of it he then wouldn't eat any more. Knowing this dog for 2 weeks now I knew something wasn't right. I took him out for the toilet and he didn't go and acted subdued all day but still wagged tail when give attention. By 4pm he still hadn't poo'd but then had dihorea twice. Wouldn't eat that evening either just a few nibbles at 10pm. This morning he got us up by barking which he does when he needs the toilet but we let him out 3 times and no evidence of having been to the toilet. He still isn't really eatting. I recon he has a bad stomach but I don't know what to do, should I take him to the vet? Or should I give him another day to see if he feels better? Quote Link to post
rickyspringer 15
with a pup Nik i would definitely ergh on the cautious side & take ollie the vets, as you say he is acting out of sorts & you think there is a problem... Thats enough to warrant a visit to the vets, I was always taught its best to be safe, than sorry! Good luck & i hope its nothing Quote Link to post
Nik_B 3,790
Cheers took him done to the vets. He's got a stomach bug and I've been sent away with a few pills etc for him. Will be putting that update up soon as I've had a full nights sleep Quote Link to post
