Same here weather has been good for it but no bloody rabbits they were thriving in spring i haven’t seen any signs of mixy but they have al gone and i know my dog is amazing :11: but it defiantly did not have al of them. Even went as far as your territory collie/grey to look for possible permission, but again not many rabbits about there. No rush for the competition still getting my young dogs retrieving up to scratch :11: Quote Link to post

Theres quite a few pikeys that come over my way, without permission They were out one night the same as us and we had a 'little game' of shining lamps at one another. We know who they are anyway, we try not to invite too many people out lamping with us anymore, coz we end up with nothing! Quote Link to post
TOMO 27,105
I WAS TALKING TO MAX ABOUT THIS LAST WEEK WHEN WE WERE FERRETING , BUT HES BEEN OFSITE FOR A WHILE NOW WITH COMPUTER PROBLEMS. FIRST THING HE WILL DO WHEN BACK ON IS SORT THIS THING OUT. I FOR ONE WANT TO GET IT ON NOW AS BOTH MY TWO ARE RUNNING QUITE WELL. AND AS I BEEN TELLING YOU LOT ON THESE SITES SINCE IT WAS FIRST MENTIONED IM GOING TO WIN GOOD LUCK TO YOU ALL THAT ENTER TOMO Quote Link to post
blando 0
how much will it be to enter, will i be able to go to a place with more quarry as there is nothing much around here? Does it matter if my dogs retrieving is not 100% (is it judged on it)? il try get it up to scratch as i can see it pissing the other person off. I don’t expect to win to be honest its my dogs first season, so is it worth me taking part? I know I could have got most of these answers from the original post on the comp but I can’t find it. Thanks all the best Quote Link to post

Paid 935
I can see it happening, theres no real rush, but time is nearing Blando, its 50 squid each, winner takes all, you'll run locally, or in regional heat, so if you dont have land to go at, hopefull those your drawn against do, but then they will have the advantage of known land its not judged on the retrive, just the finnal bag, i think it was said to be a 2 hour outing, most in the bag wins, though I personally see less hassles with the time honured best of 5, then sudden death if all 5 are bagged. Its not the winning, but the taking part lol, though I'll enjoy spending yours and tomos 50 notes. Edited October 4, 2006 by Paid Quote Link to post

collie/grey 238
How is the competition going to be fair though, say if a 1st season dog is running with an experienced dog, obviously the more experienced will catch more imo. What if 1 dog gets easy ones and the other fairly hard runs? Or in the 2 hours you have there were only a small number of rabbits and not equal runs? Who does the £50 get paid to? Quote Link to post
