First Go At Rat Trap

Hi All

after some major inspiration/ideas from this site, I thought i would have a go at making a rat trap.had access to mesh and welder etc so I made this.

 

so i set it last night with beef rind and success.

 

 

 

 

 

first time posting pics so apologies if this does not work, I will try again.

Hi Paul

I had access to mesh and a welder,hardest aprt was to make hinges for the door and i also need to design something to make sure door stays closed as a big rat could give it a whack.had laready cauhgt 2 starlings in it before rat,and magpies kept setting it off in daylight so now I only set at night.

well mate id say 3.5 hrs well spent. cos it works and you med it yourself

John B your book is next just waiting till the end of the month to get it,cant wait to try out see saw trap but need dimensions etc.

 

 

also got another one last night but forgot to buy batteries for the camera during the day disaster
