hi lads

got a call from mr zini its was about 16:00 do you fancy a couple of hours tonight he asked ? do bears sh*t in the woods lol so off i went took my up and coming new sharp shooter with me (shannon my daughter) just to give her an idea of what its all about and she enjoyed it she's a bit like her dad as long as im out im happy.

anyhow onto the farm just around the corner from si's work took us about 45 mins to get around (with si finding a rabbit set the hard way ) straight down the hole he went we didnt laugh si honest with very little to show we headed back to the car at least shannon was getting the hang of getting over fences and gates by then after that we decided to head over to si's work place and bloody hell where did all them bunnies come from just a pitty alot were lamp shy

then came the first shot sights lined up click safety catch ...rabbit gone

then came the 2nd chance sights sitting nicely twack !! missed

then came the 3rd chance sights sitting nicely twack !! no hang on no twack ...forgot to cock it

i have done this before i think!!

then came the 4th chance sights sitting nicely twack !! he scores but it didnt drop i had to neck it

by this time it was starting to get to me all night well the couple of hours we were out miss after miss straight forward shots ,, there had to be summit wrong the time i did hit wasnt a clean kill others i missed so we headed for the indoor range 30mtrs drawing pins 1" low and to the right so after a little tweak zero was perfect putting pins through the back board for fun ....

the only thing we can think of is maybe whilst climbing over the gates on the farm i knocked them (i dont think i did) but hey hoe just goes to show it doesnt take much ...

 

anyhow i was out for a couple of hours with a very good mate and even the daughter enjoyed it

argh how frustrating, i feel the pain !! still, i bet it was nice just to be out?? i learn a new thing every time i go out and im sure its the same for most of us. was still a nice write up tho bud,

Its good to see that you are honest and tell how it was.

 

I respect that pal, sometimes its good to read write ups from experienced shots missing as it gives the younger and less experienced lads a idea of even the crack shots can miss from time to time.

 

Next time you can lamp Gary and Ill have a shoot, its time my R10 came out to play again

nightmere gary! better luck next time mate i went straight over the head of a rabbit that was literally 20 yards the other night managed to get 2 that night though i always find im rubbish at close range always go under or over need more practic!!

nice write up buddy glad your girl enjoyed it as my son does and si's lad does to it's all about spending time with dad it's always nice to see and hear buddy i did the same with my tx200 this morning before taking the kids to school 2 very nice woodies come and sat in my garden i opened the window off they went twice i did that so i brought the gun down stairs and then safety was on woodie gone then i got the shot 1 nice woodie ready for the pot nah it turn just as i took the shot a few feathers but no woodie so it goes with out saying buddy sometimes we are not ment to take that woodie or rabbit it keeps us on our toes for the next time we are out. glad you had a nice time out even if it was knocking pins in to the back stop pratice is always good buddy.

i dont mind when it happens (well i do at the time) but the following day you have a good laugh about it ,,,im off to buy a silencer for it today as its a little loud for me ,,probably gonna go for a hw there a couple of lads on the AAO web site put hw's on and apparently makes the gun % quieter

if i had known buddy you could have had mine matey brand new hw silencer i have them on all my guns and there right to as they are the quieter of most silencers matey even my tx has one on it now as i dont rate the air arms ones no offence how uses them but i dont and they are cheap enough to get from the gunshop buddy i have just had a look and i aint got any left matey but i tend to get a few come in now and then so i put them up to 1 side and then never find them again but if so and your sorted i will put it up just incase and they are small enough for the wife not to say put them away lol do you have the adapter for it to fit ? you can get them on ebay for about a tenner buddy they come in black and have the grooves in them they look nice i have one on my tx.
