How to add a shotgun to certificate

Hi all to start with not very good with forms that over , I`v got section 1 FAC air rifles and would like to add a 12g shotgun on what do I have to do ? many thanks.

What do you want to add it on to your FAC ? If so it will need to be classed as a firearm. If you just want a shotgun it will have to be on a separate shotgun certificate.

You can't add a shotgun which would normally come under sec.2 to an FAC. If you have a SGC you can add as many as you like and don't need an authorisation for each one. You just go out and buy one and th seller will write in onto your cert.

Cheers for that I`ll forget the shotgun but what about adding a 17hmr, my new land is passed for FAC ? cheers.

You need to fill in a variation form (same as the application form) and tell them what you want. It costs £26 (I think) to increase the number of firearms on your cert so if you think you'll want others in the near future you may as well put them all on now rather than having to pay again later.
