i think its an exellent idea mate, and very cheep for peace of mind, only thing that would concern me is that if some c**ts capable of nicking my dog,the same said scumbag would prob not have any qualms

If this is geuine, i wish you the best of luck in getting it up and running, and you will take early retirement in less than one year as a millionair. I doubt it though, battery being the problem. The

only problem i see is that if you can track your dog....so can others!it'd be like "them" having there own little database of who's out lamping and where they are!

you would have your own i.d number just for your dog/s. i no what you are all saying and i cant realy say much more as we are still doing things to improve the design

i think its an exellent idea mate, and very cheep for peace of mind, only thing that would concern me is that if some c**ts capable of nicking my dog,the same said scumbag would prob not have any qualms about cutting the chip out of the dog,im sure this has been done with the current chips people are using now,is there going to be a way round this happening, would the chip be picked up with a scanner,or only gps, could the chip be felt if you ran your hands over the dog, sorry for my complete lack of knowledge on this thats why im asking, but as said very good idea and wish you every success with it atvb rob

great idea mate but as watchman says i know people who have had there dog stolen and when they got there dog back the id chip as gone the dog thief's used break into vets years ago to steal there scanners but now you can buy the scanners on the net cheap good luck with your idea anyway mate think you could be onto a winner there atb mate..thumbs.gif ..john

they'd still find a way of getting either the numbers or a way of tracking dogs in general. not knocking it as its a good idea if it was made totally secure.

The company i work for has a design engineer working on this type of thing ( not for animals ) but no way could even the japs come up with something like this with a lifetime battery. You'd have the answer to the electric car with that battery on a bigger scale. I don't mean to "run down " your idea, but good luck pal.

The japs must be crap then lol the battery charges by movement and is allready been designed

The japs are not crap and its the size of the battery and chip i'm talking about. To operate by movement it has to be more than a "chip". The mobile phone tracking system is easy enough, our engineer already has that part up and running, on a different system.

cheers for that mate, look forward to the finished product, will just add,if its as good as you say and readily available i can see the price rising considerably, supply and demand and all that, not to mention the well deserved profit, but we will see,ill be the first to remind you ,you said around £100,
