The whole ethos for labour is spin, spin, spin and it works! The fundamental problem is that Scotland has a inbred dislike for conservatives coming from the thatcher era, plus half of scotland and the north east of england are brain dead when it comes to politics (im from the north east so im not having a go at someone else), its often a case of "my parents voted labour, their parents voted labour so im voting labour" when they havent got a clue. On top of this, voters who err to the right are split between the conservatives and other growing factions-BNP, UKIP, English blah-di bah party etc which also weakens the cause. Its like that in s-wales where im from. my parents voted labour, their parents voted labour so im voting labour" DRIVES ME NUTS they haven't got a clue. most of labour votes this year will be Muslims and conservatives vots will be students that have never lived in the real world Quote Link to post Share on other sites

Anyone expecting him to "come clean", or "do the right thing" or any other notion is being very naive. Our previous Taoiseach done an interview back end of last year. He has the blood of thousands of people on his hands, and its not only that it's what he's allowed to happen to the country before he jumped ship to allow his mongy mate Brown take the flack for. From not believing in God to a modern -day candidate for sainthood . Forget the crap about being persuaded to enter a Middle-Eastern war by the Americans . Antony Blair ,I suspect, was only too willing to send troops to Iraq because he wanted a military success like Mrs Thatcher's Falklands campaign . A short -sharp,clear-cut victory . His unfeeling arrogance in sending our troops to that historical "Grave of British Armies" Afghanistan smacks of a complete lack of understanding of middle-Eastern temperament and politics. What good is a war against the Taliban in the name of reducing terrorism if everyday ordinary neutral Afghans are being turned against the West by having friends and family killed by accident. Or their homes "purchased" at gun-point as compounds for Western troops. Or their electicity sub-stations blown up . Brown and Blair have made this country into a sinking ship .What the Hell makes them think that that they have any right to interfere with other countries let alone possess any potential to save the World.
