golden mole caught

my work mate caught a golden mole this week- never seen one before,i presume they are quite rare.

I think there are a few pictures of golden or apricot moles on the British Traditional Mole Catchers website.

I have seen a few in pictures but never caught on although some times the ones round here seem to have a purple tinge to them..

From the pic it looks like an albino which do crop up from time to time as do other variations. Here a couple I have come across

Last season I caught 2 albino moles and a silver mole. This season ive had another albino mole so far. Its always a nice suprise to lift one out

Caught 3 in the same garden in one week........obviously from the same family. Haven't seen one since though.

A mate of mine has a blue mole in his freezer he caught on a job,cracking looking thing.

Sounds like my one, is it the colour of a weimeraner dog? They must be rarer than the albino's, as this is the only other one ive heard about.??

It's a light silvery blue,like i said a cracking looking thing and if he's not sent it off to be stuffed i'll try to get a pic of it for you.
